Had a bunch of left over pepper plants and decided to continue my science experiment with sub-irrigation. Here is a converted 1 liter soda bottle, that I made from several ideas on the web. I wonder if it will do better than the ones in the raised bed.
Update: This guy is really growing well. Even though he gets much less sun than all the others, he is competing with the plants in the ground, with no fertilizer. Although you can't see it in this picture, the root growth is pretty amazing. I am a little worried about exposing the roots to the sun though. Maybe I should cover the bottle with something.
